(San Benito, Texas)- McAllen head coach Ruth Garcia is beginning to show other softball teams that the Lady Bulldogs are a team to be reckoned with in the state playoffs. The Lady Bulldogs defeated Brownsville Porter (25-6) 6-3 in Game 1 of the area round last night in San Benito. They then won Game 2, 13-2, on Saturday to sweep the Cowgirls. (Edinburg, Texas) – The accomplishments keep coming for Edinburg Economedes junior Leigha Brown. Last year, Brown qualified for a trip to the UIL 5A state track and field meet in the 100 hurdles.
